The misuse or unlawful supply of drugs is as illegal at ROCKED UP HOOTENANNY as it is anywhere else in the country.
Experimenting with drugs can lead to adverse reactions and be a very unpleasant experience – especially in a festival environment, which can become frightening and disorienting and ruin your time at the event.
For these, and many other reasons, ROCKED UP HOOTENANNY has a zero tolerance approach to anyone found in possession of substances thought to be prohibited by UK law or by ROCKED UP’S own terms and conditions of entry. At the very least you will not be allowed to remain at the festival and the Police will decide on further action against you.
If you or someone you are with does take drugs and becomes unwell or disoriented, our on site medical and welfare teams are open twenty four hours a day to help you in a confidential and non-judgmental way. Please ask the nearest steward or member of event staff for help.
ROCKED UP HOOTENANNY will have a film crew on site for the full weekend and has the right to film the event including the public for subsequent television, radio, online and mobile distribution and the use of screen and television footage for promotional purposes.
The litter you leave behind is always a huge cost to the festival to clear up. We simply ask that you use the bins provided around the whole festival site, for the good of the future of the festival & for the environment.
Know where your nearest emergency exits are
Follow the instructions of Security Personnel or other officials
Move away promptly from any danger
Notify a Steward or Official if you see any antisocial behaviour
Move to where there is more space, should a crowd surge occur
Ask for help if you need it and help others, especially if someone falls
Stay calm (if you are distressed, ask to be taken to the Welfare Tent)
Once on site it is important to plan your day. Obviously the priority is making sure you get to see the acts that mean the most to you – come back to the festival website a few days before the show and all band times will be listed so you can plan in advance.
Large crowds, a long day & hot weather in combination will tire you out. Make sure you pace yourself, drink plenty of water, eat some food that will give you some energy & minimize sun exposure.
