After the buzz from their Grammy performance together it seems that Metallica and Lady Gaga, despite suffering technical difficulties on the night left the rock world wanting more.
Guitarist Kirk Hammett accidentally revealed plans of a future collaboration with Gaga on an album to be released in 2019 whilst responding to a fans on social media. The comment has since been deleted
Drummer Lars Ulrich spoke to Rolling Stone about the Grammy’s.
‘[The performance] was so effortless and organic and she just has the spirit of hard rock and metal flowing through her veins.
He continued: ‘It comes really easy for her. There’s nothing contrived; she just has this super warm, easy energy.
‘We already started fast-forwarding to the next chapter when we can do more of this. It’s not one of those “20 lawyers, strategists and managers trying to force two people from two different worlds to figure out how to spend four minutes together on a national telecast”.
It seems like their is a chemistry between the two acts already and them working together in the future is definitely being spoke about, if not already planned.
