Record Store Day 2017 Releases Announced, Our Top Picks

As i’m sure you all are, we at Rocked Up are really exicted for the 10th Annual Record Store Day event. This year it takes place on Saturday, April 22nd. As every year, there’s some exceptional releases. A full list can be found here, and we’ve picked our top must-buys that we can’t wait to spend our money on.

Alice In Chains – ‘B Sides’

Double gatefold 7″ vinyl of x4 hard-hitting singles – What The Hell Have I”, “A Little Better”, “Get Born Again”, Died”.

Christopher Lee – ‘Metal Knight’

Limited to 500 / Picture disc. Christopher Lee recorded this release at the age of 92. This Extended Play Vinyl is appropriately called ‘Metal Knight’. Sir Christopher was well-known for his devotion to fantasy and heavy metal themes, with several album releases and collaborations in the genre to his name

Motorhead – ALL OF THEM

Motorhead are represented in force this year, with 4 seperate releases, Clean Your Clock on 2x 12″ 180 grams picture disk gatefold, the self titled Motorhead comes in a 3LP Box set and picture disk editions, along with the live record ‘What Words Worth?’ on 12″ picture disk.

RUSH – Cygnus X-1

2017 marks the 40th anniversary of A FAREWELL TO KINGS. To kickstart the celebration, Books I & II of “Cygnus X-1″ are newly compiled together for the first time ever as an audiophile 180g vinyl EP with brand new artwork by longtime Rush artwork creative director Hugh Syme.
